 Sound of Madness
by Shinedown
2008

This album is Shinedown’s third studio album and I love it as much as the others. I’ve been a big fan of this band since the first time I heard them and their first album Leave a Whisper. I just recently got it and haven’t been able to stop listening to it.

The first single, Devour, is so ROCKING that I just can’t stop listening to it at the highest my ipod will go! My next favorite song on the album is Second Chance, which you can listen to on their Myspace, www.myspace.com/shinedown , it just says so much about life to me and things that I have been through.  I suggest getting this album if you love rockin’ music and an amazing voice.

The only thing I am depressed about with this… is they will be here next Sunday, September 7th and because of all the BS of having my identity thief take all my money and not being reimbursed yet… I will not get to see them. This will be the first time that they will be in Vegas and I will not be there. 😦 I am not happy about that at all…. maybe I will try to find a way to be there.

Well with all that…. I am giving this album 5 Rockin’ Roses!!!

 Spirit
Leona Lewis

UK singer and songwriter Leona Lewis, a 22-year-old London native and winner of the hit TV show the X Factor, a British talent show, has broken all-time sales records there with Spirit entering the album chart at Number One and becoming Britain’s fastest-selling debut ever. In addition, Spirit’s lead-off single “Bleeding Love” — co-written and produced by OneRepublic frontman Ryan “Alias” Tedder — was the U.K.’s best-selling single of 2007.

OK … no wonder I love that song Bleeding Love because I love OneRepublic. I was so excited to get this cd just for that song. I will have to say… if you have not gotten it and REALLY like that song just buy the single. I’ve listened to this CD over and over, hoping it would grow on me like some usually do… and it hasn’t. I will say Leona has a beautiful voice, but on some of these songs she sounds WAY too much like Mariah Carey. (sorry I HATE Mariah) The music and the album just didnt do much for me. Sounded like everything else on R/B radio and just wasn’t up my expectations of Bleeding Love. So I am sad to say… I’ve taken this album off the Ipod and just left Bleeding Love.

You would swear that I don’t like anything! HA… Well I like you all and in case you haven’t been by.. go to http://romanticbites.wordpress.com and read my reviews along with the three other fabulous dolls! and comment. Thats all you need to do to enter in July’s drawing of $40 to Barnes and Noble!

Have a GREAT weekend. love yas!

 OneRepublic- Dreaming Out Loud, 2007

Well I first heard this band when a good friend of the band’s- Mega Producer- Timbaland released “Apologize” Remix. It hit radio everywhere and seemed like everyone loved it… including MYSELF!! The “Apologize” Single went Triple Platinum! The next single to be released was “Stop and Stare” .. which I immediately fell in love with also! So I did what any self respecting music lover does… downloaded the album to my trusty friend … IPod! Well I can’t seem to get enough of this album. I listen to it at least once a day at work. When you listen to the songs you do feel like you are “dreaming out loud”. With the haunting vocals and amazing instrumental ability, I love this band. It is most definitely worth listening to and buying. The next single to be released is “Mercy”.. which is my favorite on the album! I suggest getting a copy and judging for yourself… but I think you will agree with my impecable taste. Ha just kidding… but do think you should pick up a copy ASAP!!
